Residential Support

Our Stewardship program is dedicated to meeting the unique needs of communities through housing revitalization and stabilization. The local Steward Leadership starts with intake and triage of assistance requests through thoughtfully assessing and prioritizing by scale and priority, we then work to deploy our Stewards to directly address these needs. The goal is to ensure home and property longevity so the resident can stay for years to come.

Mentorship plays a central role in our approach, focusing on training and developing individuals new to skilled trades within each community's capabilities.

Stewardship Capabilities

The local Stewards have the tools and training necessary to act on the need of the resident themselves, including but not limited to the following:

Hang, patch, or repair sheet rock; Hang or repair interior and exterior trim; Repair or replace siding; Repair or replace cabinets; Repair or replace flooring; Interior or exterior painting; Installation of new doors or hardware; Landscaping services; General property maintenance.

Project Management

The local Steward leadership will engage and manage relationships between local contractors or partners and the community resident. We will ensure projects greater than the capabilities of the local Stewards will utilize the resources within the community ensuring the work remains local and is executed safely and efficiently, including but limited to the following:

Capture and manage all project correspondence; Mitigate risk and manage inspections; Bid Management, Funding and Invoice Management.

Mentorship

Mentorship plays a central role in the approach of The Forgotten Stewardship, focused on training and developing individuals new to or interested in the skilled trades within each community's capabilities.

The Steward leaders within each community are uniquely positioned to engage with these individuals because they are both in the skilled trades themselves and residence of the communities they are serving. The Stewards are ready and eager to create a generational change through mentorship of these new entrants into the trades.
